October Creative Workshop: Bible Art Journaling
Sometimes we need to slow down long enough to really linger in the Word.
This month, we’re exploring Bible Art Journaling, a simple, creative way to spend time with Scripture and experience it a little differently. Through color, lettering, drawing, and reflection, we’ll take time to sit with a passage, notice what God is saying, and let His Word sink a little deeper into our hearts.
This isn’t an art class, and you certainly don’t need to consider yourself an artist. The art is simply a tool for slowing down, paying attention, and remembering. When we engage with Scripture in a hands-on way, we often discover things we might have hurried past when simply reading the words on a page.
You can bring a Bible you already have and feel comfortable creating in, or Amazon has a wide variety of journal Bibles that you can purchase ahead of time which are specifically designed for this kind of creative exploration. Some have generous margins for your own artwork and lettering; others include illustrations that are ready to color. We’ll provide the creative supplies, a little guidance, and plenty of room to explore. And, naturally, there will be hot tea, something sweet, and good conversation around the table.

May Creative Workshop- Create 3 Styles of Earrings
Join us to stretch your creativity as we learn to create uniquely individual earrings using three different materials: wood, resin, and polymer clay. Each participant will leave with at least three pairs of earrings as well as the knowledge and skills to recreate them at home! We are allowing between two and three hours for this month’s workshop. Cost: $25

September Creative Workshop
Because we are all so very unique, with our own personalities and strengths, we offer a unique project for September. Using simple rocks and a wide variety of materials for wrapping and embellishing, you will learn the meditative and relaxing craft of rock wrapping. The art pieces you create will symbolize your journey with God.
August Creative Workshop
We all need a reminder to “keep the main thing the main thing.” In our time together in August, we will create a set of 4 beaded bracelets with charms, each one a representation of the beatitudes that resonate most with you. This project is fun and beginner friendly, and will, hopefully, provide a special reminder of God’s blessing in your life.
July Creative Workshop
You won’t want to miss our first creative workshop! In this beginner-friendly experience, Ann will guide us through using different paint types and techniques to create custom-made greeting cards to take home and share with others. Once you have your instructions and are working on creating your cards, Kathleen will share some scripture-based thoughts that relate to your projects.
